Valentine's Day
So, as a follow up to our love story, here's how our Valentine's Day went. I had Jorden that day and he brought me a sweet Valentine. It was Cars 2 and said "Valentine, we're an unstoppable team!" On the back he wrote, "Happy Vallenine have fun" and gave me a Cars 2 pencil and some M&Ms. I love that kid (well, most of the time). :) After Jorden left, I went to work making sweet & sour chicken and shrimp, broccoli and crab cheese wontons. All in all, it turned out well. The wonton wrappers didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped, but overall not bad for my first attempt. Anyway, Shane came home and we had a romantic candlelight dinner. I was playing a slideshow of our wedding on our TV and had our CD of songs playing. He danced with me during our song, "Walking Her Home" by Mark Schultz. It was very sweet and extremely romantic. I'm continually amazed by just how much I love my husband. It's incredible. After dinner we exchanged gifts. We had gone to Home Depot on Black Friday and I bought him all sorts of tools he "needed" and saved some for Valentine's Day. He was thrilled. :) He then surprised me with a beautiful pearl necklace that matched the earrings he had bought me for my birthday. It was a wonderful gift and very unexpected. I love this man. We ended the night by watching the not-so-romantic Rise of the Planet of the Apes. :) A fantastic Valentine's Day.
